Learning Objectives
Indicator: B3.2.2.3.1 - Create own artworks by skilfully using available instruments, resources and techniques to express own views of performing artworks of other Africa communities that reflect the people, their history and their culture in those areas
By the end of the lesson, learners can:
- Identify at least three performing art traditions from other African communities and describe how they reflect the people’s history and culture.
- Select and use available instruments, resources and techniques to create a short music, dance or drama piece based on the culture of another African community.
- Express their own views about the culture of another African community through their created artwork.
- Perform their created artwork to peers and explain the choices they made in using instruments and techniques.
- Give and receive simple feedback on performances, showing respect for the ideas of others.
