Learning Objectives

Indicator: B2.2.2.2.2 - Make decisions to create own artworks from imagination based on performing artworks produced or performed in other communities in Ghana

By the end of the lesson, learners can:

Identify at least two performing artworks from other Ghanaian communities (such as music, dance or drama) and state one feature of each that inspires their own creation.
Make at least three decisions about their own artwork, choosing the type of performance, the instrument or resource, and the theme or story to use.
Explain in one or two sentences why they chose a particular instrument, movement or story for their own artwork.
Create a short original performance (music, dance or drama) of about 30 seconds to 1 minute using available materials, based on ideas from another Ghanaian community.
Present their created artwork to the class and talk about the choices they made during the creative process.
