Learning Objectives
Indicator: B1.1.2.3.1 - Create own artworks from imagination using available tools, materials and methods to represent visual artworks produced or found in the local community that reflect the history and culture or way of life of the people
By the end of the lesson, learners can:
- Select at least two available tools and materials suitable for making a visual artwork that reflects a local cultural object or symbol.
- Describe in one or two sentences what a chosen local artwork (such as a stool or symbol) represents about the history or way of life of the people.
- Create an original drawing, doodle, pattern or modelled piece from imagination that represents a chosen local cultural object or symbol.
- Explain how the finished artwork reflects the culture or history of the local community during a brief class presentation.
- Handle tools and materials safely and responsibly while working on the artwork.
