Learning Objectives

Indicator: B1.2.2.2.4 - Make firm decisions on the relevant performing arts instruments, resources and methods for making own artworks that will reflect topical issues in the local community

By the end of the lesson, learners can:

  • recall at least three topical issues currently affecting people in their local community
  • identify performing arts instruments and resources available in their school and community that can be used to create artworks about these issues
  • select appropriate instruments, resources and methods for an artwork they plan to make, giving at least one reason for each choice
  • state in their own words what artwork they plan to create to reflect a chosen topical issue
  • make firm choices and defend them by explaining why their chosen instruments and methods are suitable for their planned artwork
