Indicator: B9.5.3.1.3 - Describe ways of using the natural building materials for production
By the end of the lesson, learners can:
- Identify at least three types of clay/laterite bricks and blocks used in building construction.
- Describe the three main methods of manufacturing clay/laterite bricks and blocks: extruded, moulded, and dry-pressed.
- Explain the steps involved in producing moulded clay/laterite blocks, from soil selection to curing.
- State the advantages and limitations of using natural building materials like clay and laterite.
- Present ideas on natural building materials in a clear, logical order using correct construction and structure of speech.
