Learning Objectives

Indicator: 2.2.1.LI.1: Discuss injury prevention before, during and after physical activity.

By the end of the lesson, learners can:

  1. Recall and state at least four common causes of injuries during physical activity participation.
  2. Explain the importance of warm-up and cool-down exercises in injury prevention.
  3. Categorise injury prevention strategies into those that apply before, during, and after physical activity.
  4. Demonstrate correct procedures for injury prevention, such as proper warm-up techniques and hydration practices.
  5. Evaluate a given physical activity scenario and recommend appropriate injury prevention measures for each phase (before, during, after).
