Learning Objectives
Indicator: 1.2.1.LI.3 - Apply the concept of physical activity in everyday life
By the end of the lesson, learners can:
- Identify at least three everyday activities they perform that count as physical activity and classify each as light, moderate, or vigorous.
- Design a one-day personal physical activity plan for a typical school day that includes at least three different types of movement.
- Compare and contrast the physical activity levels of two common Ghanaian occupations (e.g., a market trader and a bank teller) and justify which one needs to be more intentional about exercise.
- Create a simple portfolio entry that documents their physical activities over two days, including the type, duration, and intensity of each activity.
- Explain how small changes to daily routines (like taking the stairs or walking to the shop) can improve health outcomes for themselves and their family members.
