Learning Objectives

Indicator: B7.1.1.4.1 - Identify various sounds that form words and phrases on learning activities

By the end of the lesson, learners can:

  1. Listen to and identify the distinct consonant and vowel sounds in the words قراءة (reading), دراسة (study), كاتبة (writer), رسم (drawing), امتحان (exam), جواب (answer), and مذاكرة (revision).
  2. Break down dictated words into their individual sound components (syllables/phonemes) and pronounce each sound correctly.
  3. Match the sounds they hear to the correct written word from a list of similar-sounding options.
  4. Write dictated words about learning activities from memory with correct spelling and accurate sound-to-letter correspondence.
  5. Use the identified sounds to recognise these words when they appear in short classroom phrases and instructions.
