Learning Objectives

Indicator: B7.1.1.4.2 - Identify various sounds of Arabic letters that form words and phrases that represent teaching acts.

By the end of the lesson, learners can:

  1. Pronounce correctly the seven Arabic words for teaching acts: تعليم، تدريس، شرح، بيان، رسم، تصحيح، كتابة
  2. Identify and distinguish the initial, middle and final sounds of the letters in each teaching-act word when heard aloud.
  3. Recognise each teaching-act word by listening to its sound pattern and matching it to its written form.
  4. Discriminate between words that share similar sounds, such as تعليم and تدريس, when both are pronounced.
  5. Write each of the seven words correctly from dictation, showing accurate letter-sound correspondence.
