Learning Objectives

Indicator: B6.2.2.1.1 - Read words with ending sounds like “sure” as in measure; “ture” as in creature and “tch” as in Stretch

By the end of the lesson, learners can:

Identify and pronounce the ending sounds “sure” (as in measure), “ture” (as in creature), and “tch” (as in stretch) correctly in given words.
Sort a list of words into the correct ending sound groups: “sure”, “ture”, or “tch”.
Blend the beginning and ending parts of words to read aloud words like pleasure, picture, and fetch with accuracy.
Write sentences of their own using at least three target words from the lesson.
Read aloud a short passage containing target words with reasonable fluency and correct pronunciation.
