Learning Objectives

Indicator: B4.2.2.1.3 - Use words with consonant digraphs to make meaningful sentences

By the end of the lesson, learners can:

  1. Identify at least five consonant digraphs (sh, ch, ck, th, wh) in given words.
  2. Read aloud words containing consonant digraphs with correct pronunciation.
  3. Use words with consonant digraphs to construct at least three meaningful sentences of their own.
  4. Write simple sentences that contain at least one word with a consonant digraph.
  5. Work with a partner to combine digraph words into a short, sensible story of two to three sentences.
