Learning Objectives

Indicator: B2.2.2.1.1 - Blend syllables to produce words

By the end of the lesson, learners can:

Clap and count the syllables in a given spoken word with at least 80% accuracy.
Blend two given syllables orally to produce a meaningful word (e.g., “ba” + “nan” = “banan”).
Blend syllables presented in written form to read and write complete words from the word families covered.
Use word family patterns (e.g., -at, -an, -og) to build new words by combining beginning sounds or syllables.
Work in pairs to combine syllable cards to form words and read them aloud with confidence.
