Learning Objectives

Indicator: B7.1.2.1.1 - Describe accidents in the workshop/site/laboratory

By the end of the lesson, learners can:

  1. Define an accident in their own words, using examples from the workshop, site and food laboratory.
  2. Identify at least four types of accidents that commonly occur in workshops and laboratories.
  3. Predict at least three causes of accidents in the workshop or food laboratory and explain how each cause leads to an accident.
  4. Classify given accident scenarios according to type and likely cause.
  5. Explain, in a clear order, how one specific accident could have been prevented by removing its cause.
