Learning Objectives
Indicator: B7.1.1.1.3 - Discuss food hygiene
By the end of the lesson, learners can:
- Define food hygiene in their own words as the conditions and measures needed to ensure the safety of food from production to consumption.
- Identify at least four common food hygiene practices that keep food safe at home, in school, and in the community.
- Explain why proper storage and preservation of food are essential parts of food hygiene.
- Work in groups to research and report on food hygiene practices, presenting their findings clearly in class.
- Demonstrate at least three correct food hygiene practices in a practical classroom activity.
