Learning Objectives

Indicator: K2.1.3.1.7 - Compare objects and numerals between 1 to 20

By the end of the lesson, learners can:

  • Compare two sets of body-care items (such as soap, sponge, toothbrush, comb) and state which has more or fewer items using words like “more than” and “less than”
  • Compare two numerals from 1 to 20 and use the words “greater than”, “less than” and “equal to” correctly
  • Read and write the symbols <, > and = to compare pairs of numerals up to 20
  • Arrange three numerals from 1 to 20 in order from smallest to biggest
  • Use comparison language to describe quantities in everyday classroom situations
