Learning Objectives
Indicator: K2.1.3.1.3 - Identify the rhyming sounds at the end of words and create more rhyming end of words
By the end of the lesson, learners can:
- Sing an action song about the parts of the body and clap when they hear rhyming sounds at the end of words.
- Identify and say the rhyming sound at the end of words from the body song, such as “ear” and “hear”.
- Match pairs of words that end with the same sound, such as “see” and “knee”.
- Create at least two new words that rhyme with a given word, such as rhyming with “nose” or “toes”.
- Demonstrate proper care of body parts while singing and reciting rhymes, such as pointing to the part they are cleaning or caring for.
