Learning Objectives

Indicator: B3.4.2.1.1 - Copy short paragraphs clearly

By the end of the lesson, learners can:

  1. Copy a short paragraph of 3 to 4 sentences from the board into their exercise books with correct letter formation.
  2. Maintain consistent spacing between words and letters when copying a paragraph.
  3. Align their writing evenly along the lines of their exercise books, keeping letters sitting on the line.
  4. Self-check their copied paragraph against the original to identify and correct at least one error in spelling, spacing or alignment.
  5. Demonstrate neatness and legibility in their copied work that can be read easily by a classmate.
