Learning Objectives

Indicator: B8.2.4.1.4 - Écrire sur les différents temps qu’il fait (Production écrite et Interaction écrite)

By the end of the lesson, learners can:

Write 5 to 7 complete sentences describing the weather for a given day, using the impersonal verb “faire” correctly (il fait chaud, il fait froid, il fait du vent, etc.)
Create a simple weather calendar or chart showing the weather for one week, labelling each day in French (lundi, mardi, etc.) and matching it with the correct weather expression
Complete a short dictation of weather phrases and sentences with at least 80% accuracy, spelling key vocabulary correctly (soleil, vent, pluie, brouillard, nuage, chaud, froid)
Write a short letter or note (4 to 6 sentences) to a friend in another town telling them what the weather is like today, using appropriate French weather vocabulary and the present tense
Explain in simple French, in writing, the difference between the seasons in France (le printemps, l’été, l’automne, l’hiver) and the two main seasons in Ghana (la saison des pluies, la saison sèche)
