Learning Objectives

Indicator: B9.7.3.1.2 - Échanger des informations sur le monde d’hier et celui d’aujourd’hui. (Production orale et Interaction orale)

By the end of the lesson, learners can:

Ask and answer questions comparing life in the past and present, using the imparfait (autrefois, il y avait… / on faisait…) and the présent (aujourd’hui, il y a… / on fait…).
Exchange information with a partner about changes in transport, communication, entertainment, and family life over the past 20 to 100 years.
Role-play a short dialogue or mini-debate in which one person defends life in the past and another defends life today, using the structures from the lesson.
Name at least four inventions (le téléphone, la radio, la télévision, l’informatique, l’internet) and describe what existed before and after each invention using the imparfait and présent.
React appropriately to a partner’s statements by agreeing, disagreeing, or adding information, using short phrases like moi aussi, moi non, pas du tout, c’est vrai, tu as raison.
