Learning Objectives

Indicator: 3.2.5.LI.4 - Écrire un texte sur les problèmes des services sociaux (Production et interaction écrites).

By the end of the lesson, learners can:

Identify and list at least five problems affecting social services in their community (electricity, water, telephone, housing, health) using appropriate French vocabulary.
Write a short press article of 80 to 120 words in French describing a specific problem with a social service, using the present tense and appropriate connectors (d’abord, ensuite, enfin, par exemple).
Transform at least two direct statements about service problems into indirect speech using “il dit que”, “elle explique que”, or “le journaliste rapporte que”.
Create a simple public announcement or slogan (publicité) of 2 to 3 sentences that raises awareness about a social service problem.
Structure a written text with a title, introduction, body, and conclusion, following the model of a short press article.

This lesson builds on the listening (LI.1), speaking (LI.2), and reading (LI.3) skills developed in previous weeks. Learners already know how to discuss service problems orally and understand simple texts on the topic. Now they move to producing their own written texts. This lesson is the final written production slot in the sequence; future lessons will extend to other contexts.
