Learning Objectives

Indicator: 1.3.3.LI.4 - Écrire un texte pour décrire des évènements historiques du Ghana (Production et interaction écrites)

By the end of the lesson, learners can:

Write a coherent paragraph of 80 to 100 words in French describing a key historical event in Ghana, using the past tense (passé composé) and time markers such as “en 1957”, “après”, “avant”, “pendant”.
Use at least three historical dates and names of main figures (for example, Kwame Nkrumah, la Gold Coast, l’indépendance) accurately in their written text.
Organise their text with a clear structure: introduction, development (main events in chronological order) and conclusion.
Create a short postcard or message describing a historical event from Ghana to a friend or relative, including both factual information and a personal reaction or opinion.
Review and improve their own written work and that of a peer, checking for correct use of the passé composé, time markers and historical accuracy.
