Learning Objectives

Indicator: B8.2.3.1.1 - Écouter, comprendre et réagir à une conversation / une présentation dans laquelle l’on parle de son pays (Réception orale / Compréhension de l’oral)

By the end of the lesson, learners can:

Identify at least 6 key facts about a country (name, capital, location, population, language, currency, natural resources) when listening to a spoken presentation or conversation in French.
Extract specific information (names, numbers, dates, places) from an audio passage about Ghana or another Francophone country.
Distinguish and correctly identify key vocabulary words and phrases related to presenting one’s country when heard in context.
Respond orally to simple comprehension questions in French about a listened text, using short phrases such as “La capitale est…”, “Il est situé…”, or “La monnaie est…”.
Complete a discrimination exercise by ticking or naming the words they hear relating to countries, regions, capitals, resources, and other country facts.
