Learning Objectives

Indicator: B8.2.1.1.1 - Écouter, comprendre et réagir à une conversation ou une présentation sur sa ville ou village (Réception orale / Compréhension de l’oral)

By the end of the lesson, learners can:

Identify key vocabulary words related to a town or village (le village, la ville, le chef, le marché, l’hôpital, la rivière, etc.) when heard in an audio recording or read aloud by the teacher.
Listen to a short dialogue or presentation about a town or village and answer comprehension questions in French (yes/no, true/false, or short answers).
Respond appropriately to questions about a place of residence using the model expressions: “Quel est le nom de ton village?”, “Où se trouve ta ville?”, “Quelles sont les activités du village?”
Discriminate between similar-sounding French words from the lesson topic (e.g., ville/village, marché/marcher, rue/rêve) in an auditory discrimination exercise.
Summarise in one or two sentences, in English or simple French, the main information heard about a town or village (name, location, activities, infrastructure).
