Learning Objectives

Indicator: B8.2.1.1.4 - Écrire un texte simple pour parler de sa ville et de son village (Production écrite et Interaction écrite)

By the end of the lesson, learners can:

1. Write a simple descriptive paragraph of at least 6 sentences about their town or village, including its name, location, population, and main activities.
2. Use the question words and structures from the “Outils / Manière de le dire” box (Où se trouve, Il y a, Quel est le nom) correctly in written sentences.
3. Identify and correctly spell at least 8 infrastructure-related vocabulary words (hôpital, marché, commissariat, etc.) from a dictation.
4. Structure a short friendly letter or postcard to a pen pal describing their town or village, using an appropriate greeting, body, and closing.
5. Self-correct their own written work by checking for subject-verb agreement, article usage, and correct preposition (dans, au bord de, à côté de) placement.

This lesson is the fourth in the Week 8 to Week 10 sequence. Learners have already practised listening to and understanding descriptions of towns (Week 8), speaking about their own town (Week 9), and are working on writing in Week 10. This lesson focuses on producing their own written texts, building on the vocabulary and structures they have already met orally.
