Lesson notes
Learning Objectives
Indicator: B4.2.2.3.1 - Lire et comprendre des textes simples accompagnés d’images sur les objets de l’école
By the end of the lesson, learners can:
- Read aloud a simple illustrated text about school objects with correct pronunciation of key vocabulary (un stylo, un cahier, un livre, un sac, une règle, une gomme, un tableau, une chaise).
- Match each school object word in a short text to its corresponding image.
- Answer simple comprehension questions (Oui/Non and short-answer) based on an illustrated text about school objects.
- Identify the objects mentioned in a text by pointing to them or naming them in French.
- Demonstrate understanding by sequencing sentences from a short text with the correct images.
This lesson builds directly on the vocabulary learners met in Weeks 9 and 10 (listening and speaking about classroom objects). It focuses on reading those same words in short written texts, and does not move on to writing missing letters, which comes in Week 12.
