Parler de sa maison

Lesson notes

Learning Objectives

Indicator: B4.2.1.2.1 - Demander à quelqu’un de nommer un objet de la maison

By the end of the lesson, learners can:

  • Ask a classmate “Qu’est-ce que c’est?” (What is this?) while showing or pointing to an object from the house.
  • Name at least eight household objects in French when asked by a friend (la table, la chaise, le lit, la porte, la fenêtre, le réfrigérateur, le four, la télévision).
  • Respond correctly to “Qu’est-ce que c’est?” with “C’est…” (It is…) followed by the name of the object.
  • Take part in a short question-and-answer exchange about household objects, alternating roles as questioner and respondent with a partner.
  • Use the game “La chasse au trésor” (treasure hunt) to practise asking for and naming objects, following simple rules of turn-taking.
