Learning Objectives

Indicator: B8.6.1.1.4 - Ecrire sur l’habillement et la mode de la jeunesse (Production écrite et Interaction écrite)

By the end of the lesson, learners can:

Write a short email or letter (80 to 100 words) to a friend abroad describing what young people in Ghana wear and what is fashionable.
Use sentence structures such as “Je porte…”, “Il/Elle porte…”, “Les jeunes portent…” with correct articles (un, une, des) when describing clothes.
Use adjectives of colour, size and material correctly, for example “une robe en coton”, “un pantalon large”, “une chemise à manches courtes”.
Write a short paragraph (5 to 7 sentences) describing the outfit of a friend or a classmate, including colours, materials and style.
Produce a simple illustrated catalogue page showing two or three outfits for young people, with written labels and short descriptions in French.
