Learning Objectives

Indicator: K2.3.4.1.3 - Read level-appropriate sight words from the big book

By the end of the lesson, learners can:

  1. Read aloud at least five level-appropriate sight words displayed on word cards, with teacher support.
  2. Point to and identify the same sight words when they appear in the big book.
  3. Use each sight word to form a short, simple spoken sentence related to the big book story.
  4. Copy the sight words correctly in their ruled exercise books.
  5. Read the copied sight words to a partner and listen while their partner reads back.
