Learning Objectives
Indicator: K2.2.2.1.4 - Say and clap syllables of the various tribes and languages.
By the end of the lesson, learners can:
- Say their own tribe or language name clearly and clap the syllables in it.
- Clap and count the syllables in the names of at least three Ghanaian tribes, such as Ewe (e-we), Akan (a-kan), and Ga (ga).
- Match a tribe name to the correct number of claps using picture cards of people in traditional clothes.
- Use letter sounds to decode simple tribe and language words, such as /e//w//e/ and /g//a/.
- Sing a short action song about tribes while clapping the syllables of each tribe name.
