Learning Objectives
Indicator: 1.1.1.LI.2 - Create, Edit and Format text and paragraphs (Cut, Copy, Bold, Italic, Tables, Find and Replace, Format Painter, Spelling & Grammar check, Styles) using desktop/online computing tools (word processing software e.g., MS Word, Google Docs) keyboard, mouse etc.
By the end of the lesson, learners can:
- Explain at least three reasons why creating, editing and formatting a document is important for effective communication.
- Create, edit and format a short text document by applying cut, copy, bold, italic, and table features correctly.
- Use find and replace, format painter, spelling and grammar check, and styles tools to improve the quality and consistency of a document.
- Produce a simple educational artefact (such as a class timetable or an announcement flyer) that demonstrates responsible and careful use of word processing tools.
- Describe the steps they followed to create and format their document, using appropriate ICT vocabulary, in either oral or written form.
