Indicator: B6.3.1.1.3 - Use “-ing” nouns and noun phrases to refer to activities

By the end of the lesson, learners can:

Identify “-ing” nouns (also called gerunds) in given sentences and explain what activity each one refers to.
Form “-ing” nouns from common action verbs by adding “-ing” (e.g., swim → swimming, dance → dancing).
Construct simple sentences using “-ing” nouns as subjects of sentences (e.g., “Swimming keeps me fit.”).
Construct simple sentences using “-ing” nouns as objects after verbs like enjoy, like, love, and dislike (e.g., “I enjoy singing.”).
Expand a basic “-ing” noun into a noun phrase by adding modifiers (e.g., “singing” → “singing in the school choir”) and use it correctly in a sentence.
