Learning Objectives
Indicator: K2.6.8.1.3 - Use a variety of new vocabulary learnt about the theme to create an informational text for reading using LEA
By the end of the lesson, learners can:
- Recall and say at least 5 new vocabulary words about light sources (sun, moon, candle, torch, lamp, firefly, bulb) when shown pictures or real objects.
- Contribute one or more sentences about light sources during a shared writing session, using the new vocabulary words correctly.
- Read along with the teacher as the class reads the group-written informational text aloud together.
- Point to and track the words in the class informational text from left to right as the teacher reads.
- Identify and name at least 3 natural light sources and 3 man-made light sources from the text created.
