Learning Objectives
Indicator: 3.4.2.LI.1 - Discuss the democratic processes of decision making in Ghana
By the end of the lesson, learners can:
- Explain at least four democratic processes of decision making used in Ghana, including elections, referenda, town hall meetings, and parliamentary debates.
- Describe the key stages in Ghana’s electoral process, from voter registration through to the declaration of results.
- Compare democratic decision making at the national, district, and community levels, identifying who participates at each level.
- Evaluate at least two benefits and two challenges of democratic decision making in Ghanaian society.
- Participating in a role-play, demonstrate a democratic decision-making process and reflect on its fairness and effectiveness.
