Learning Objectives
Indicator: B9.5.1.1.3 - Analyse the sequence of events across texts (descriptive, auto-biography, biography, narrative and play script/drama)
By the end of the lesson, learners can:
- Identify the key events in a narrative, a biography and a play script and state the order in which they occur.
- Explain how the sequence of events (plot structure) differs across descriptive texts, biographies, autobiographies, narratives and play scripts.
- Compare events across at least two different text types and discuss similarities and differences in how the events are arranged.
- Arrange a jumbled set of events from a play script into a correct chronological sequence with reasons for their choices.
- Create a short narrative or play script with a clear sequence of events (beginning, middle, end) and present it to the class.
