By the end of the lesson, learners can:

Define monologue and dialogue and distinguish between them in a play script.
Identify monologues and dialogues in short play script extracts.
Create a dialogue between two characters using correct punctuation, including commas, full stops, question marks and quotation marks.
Write a short monologue that reveals a character’s thoughts and feelings.
Present a short scene from their own play script with appropriate expression.
