Indicator: B8.5.1.1.5 - Analyse the sequence of events in film/media, narratives and play scripts (drama)
By the end of the lesson, learners can:
- Identify and narrate the sequence of events in a short film clip, narrative passage, or play script excerpt in chronological order.
- Distinguish between the beginning (exposition), middle (rising action and climax), and end (falling action and resolution) of a given text or media piece.
- Explain how the order of events affects the meaning and impact of a narrative, film, or drama.
- Rearrange a scrambled set of events from a play script into the correct chronological sequence, justifying each choice.
- Create a simple timeline of events for a short original narrative or drama outline, demonstrating understanding of cause and effect between events.
