Indicator: B8.5.1.1.2 - Examine the features of different types of poems
By the end of the lesson, learners can:
- Identify at least three types of poems (sonnet, acrostic, haiku) by their key features.
- Distinguish between the different structural patterns of a sonnet, an acrostic, and a haiku.
- Compose their own short poem in at least one of the examined forms (sonnet, acrostic, or haiku).
- Present their composed poem to the class with clear pronunciation and appropriate expression.
- Explain how the structure of each poem type contributes to its overall meaning and effect.
