Learning Objectives
Indicator: B8.5.1.1.1 - Analyse the types of characters in texts
By the end of the lesson, learners can:
- Define the four character types (round, flat, dynamic, static) and give at least one example of each from a text they have read or watched.
- Identify whether a character in a given narrative or drama excerpt is round/flat and dynamic/static, with evidence from the text.
- Compare two characters from different texts using at least two character-type labels correctly.
- Create a short original story or scene that deliberately includes one round character and one flat character.
- Justify their analysis of a character by pointing to specific actions, dialogue or descriptions in the text.
