By the end of the lesson, learners can:
- Define abstract nouns as names of things that cannot be touched, seen, or felt.
- Distinguish between concrete nouns and abstract nouns in a given passage.
- Sort a list of mixed nouns into two groups: concrete nouns and abstract nouns.
- Use given abstract nouns correctly in their own sentences.
- Compose short sentences that pair a concrete noun with an abstract noun (for example, “The baby showed great patience”).

- Revise concrete nouns. Introduce abstract nouns as nouns or names of things that cannot be touched, seen or felt. They include ghost, beauty, holiness, mercy, etc. - Provide a passage with concrete and abstract nouns and let learners identify each category. - Have learners use given concrete and abstract nouns in sentences.
