Learning Objectives
Indicator: K2.3.3.1.3 - Use new vocabulary acquired to create their own drama on how to show themselves as patriotic citizens of their country.
By the end of the lesson, learners can:
- Say and explain at least three new words related to patriotism, such as “patriotic,” “citizen,” “truthful,” “respect,” and “honest.”
- Role-play a short scene showing a patriotic act, such as returning lost money to its owner or being a hardworking citizen.
- Work with a small group to plan and perform a simple drama that shows good civic behaviour.
- Say why we should respect the National Anthem and the pledge when we hear them.
- Use the new vocabulary words correctly while acting out their drama scenes.
