Learning Objectives

Indicator: K2.1.5.1.2 - Learners ask questions and find answers to them as they listen attentively to the text read aloud to them.

By the end of the lesson, learners can:

  1. Identify the cover page, back page, author and illustrator of a book about the environment.
  2. Listen attentively to the big book “Adzoa has malaria” read aloud, without interrupting.
  3. Ask at least one question about the character or events in the story.
  4. Answer simple questions about why Adzoa got sick and what she could have done differently.
  5. Share one thing they learned about keeping the environment clean with a peer and with the whole group.
