Learning Objectives

Indicator: B9.2.1.3.7 - Create a simple Dance Drama and/or one act based on a topical issue

By the end of the lesson, learners can:

  1. Identify and list at least five materials needed to create a Dance Drama or one act play on a chosen topical issue.
  2. Select and justify suitable materials for a given Dance Drama or one act play, explaining why each material is appropriate.
  3. Brainstorm and agree on a topical issue relevant to their school or community as the theme for their performance.
  4. Work in groups to plan the basic structure of a simple Dance Drama or one act play, including the beginning, middle, and end.
  5. Present a short outline or storyboard of their planned Dance Drama or one act play, naming the materials they will use for each part.
