Learning Objectives
Indicator: B8.2.1.1.1 - Explore media and techniques in drawing from direct observation/ memory and imagination, print making and weaving to express own views in visual artworks to encourage recording and research skills.
By the end of the lesson, learners can:
- Identify and name at least five tools, materials and equipment used for drawing from direct observation, memory and imagination, print making and weaving, and describe their uses accurately.
- Classify given tools and materials under the correct art form: drawing, print making or weaving, with at least 80% accuracy.
- Demonstrate safe handling and proper use of at least three tools while creating a simple observational drawing of a natural object from the school compound.
- Explain and demonstrate the correct cleaning, storing and maintenance procedures for at least two art tools or materials in a sustainable manner.
- Record findings about tools and materials in a personal art vocabulary notebook, noting one new fact about each tool examined.
