Learning Objectives

Indicator: 2.1.2.LI.1 - Discuss and apply analogue and digital media and how they are used as basic media for the creation of art and design in built environments products or projects.

By the end of the lesson, learners can:

  1. Define analogue media and digital media in their own words, giving at least two examples of each from their school or home environment.
  2. Classify given art and design tools and materials as either analogue or digital, justifying their classification with reasons.
  3. Discuss the advantages and limitations of using analogue media versus digital media in art and design production.
  4. Create a simple design product or artwork using at least one analogue medium and one digital medium, documenting the process.
  5. Present their work to the class, explaining which media they used and why they chose them.
