Learning Objectives

Indicator: B2.2.4.1.1 - Discuss the history of Ghana’s major historical locations. Examples include Kumasi military museum, Komfo Anokye Sword, Assin Manso slave site, Gbewa Palace.

By the end of the lesson, learners can:

Identify at least four major historical locations in Ghana and state the region where each is found.
Retell the history of the Kumasi Military Museum, Komfo Anokye Sword, Assin Manso slave site, and Gbewa Palace in their own words.
Explain what each historical location tells us about the people and events of the past.
Share the history of a historical location in their own community or district after interacting with a knowledgeable person.
Show respect for the cultural and historical significance of these locations during class discussions.
