Learning Objectives
Indicator: B6.1.9.1.12 - Kick a ball, dropped from the hands, at a target (goalies’ punting in football).

- Kick a ball dropped from their hands so that it travels at least 5 metres toward a target.
- Aim and strike the ball accurately, hitting a designated target zone (a cone, hoop, or marked area) at least 3 out of 5 attempts.
- Apply the skill of punting in a small-sided game situation, such as a goalie clearing the ball to a teammate.
- Provide simple corrective feedback to a partner on their punting technique, focusing on one key point such as watching the ball or following through.

Exemplars (from the NaCCA curriculum)
Arrange about five cones with partners standing at the opposite sides about 5m away from the cones facing each other. Let the learner in front with the ball dribble through the cones and after the last cone kicks it to the partner standing in front of the other group. Arrange more cones and guide learners practice with corrective feedback.
