Learning Objectives
Indicator: B6.1.2.1.2 - Jump for distance, landing on both feet and bending the hips, knees, and ankles to reduce the impact force.
By the end of the lesson, learners can:
- Demonstrate a correct approach run of 5 to 7 steps, maintaining a steady rhythm before the take-off point.
- Perform a single-foot take-off from a marked board, pushing off with their stronger (comfortable) foot.
- Land on both feet simultaneously, bending the hips, knees, and ankles to absorb the force of landing.
- Measure and record their own jump distances using a tape measure or marked grid.
- Observe and give one piece of helpful feedback to a partner about their landing technique.
