Learning Objectives
Indicator: B5.1.10.1.10 - Stop a kicked ball by trapping it with the foot while standing or moving.
By the end of the lesson, learners can:
- Demonstrate the correct body position for trapping a ball with the foot while standing still.
- Trap a ball that is thrown or rolled towards them using the inside of the foot.
- Trap a ball while moving forward, controlling it so it stays close to their body.
- Trap a ball that is kicked at different speeds and from different distances.
- Work cooperatively with a partner to practise trapping skills and give each other feedback.

Exemplars (from the NaCCA curriculum)
Learners after warm-up stand in pairs facing each other with a ball. The partner with the ball throws it to the partner to trap(control the movement) with the foot, tigh or chest. The practice should be done one after the other. Learners practice and progress at their own pace.
