Learning Objectives
Indicator: B4.1.12.1.14 - Dance to the beat of traditional music.
By the end of the lesson, learners can:
- Identify the beat in a piece of traditional Ghanaian music and clap in time with it.
- Perform a sequence of at least four dance movements that match the beat of traditional music.
- Maintain their own steady pace while dancing alongside classmates, without copying others’ timing.
- Demonstrate coordination by matching their feet and arm movements to the rhythm of the drum.
- Show personal expression by dancing individually to the beat while respecting the space of others.
