Learning Objectives
Indicator: B4.1.8.1.9 - Show the difference in throwing to a stationary and a moving partner.
By the end of the lesson, learners can:
- Demonstrate at least two different throwing techniques (overhead, chest pass, or side throw) when aiming at a stationary target such as a container or basket.
- Throw an object accurately to a stationary partner who remains in one spot.
- Throw an object accurately to a partner who is walking or jogging, leading the throw ahead of the partner so they can receive it.
- Explain in their own words the main difference between throwing to a stationary partner and throwing to a moving partner (aiming at the person vs. aiming ahead of the person).
- Work cooperatively in groups during throwing games, showing patience, turn-taking, and fair play.

After a general and specific warm up, put a container or basket at a point. Learners with objects to use different techniques to throw the object into to container or object. Learners identify the best technique the gives them accuracy and precision. Organise coopetition in groups. End lesson with cool down.
